The Tremellales are an order of fungi in the class Tremellomycetes. The order contains both teleomorphic and anamorphic species, most of the latter being yeasts. All teleomorphic species in the Tremellales are parasites of other fungi, though the yeast states are widespread and not restricted to hosts. Basidiocarps, when produced, are gelatinous.

Carl Woolworth Weilman, was a professional baseball pitcher in the Major Leagues from 1912–1920. He played for the St. Louis Browns. At the time, he was the tallest pitcher in the American League at 6 ft 5+1⁄2 in (1.97 m). Weilman is one of the few players in baseball history to strike out six times in one game, and the first player recorded to have done so.

The South African pouched mouse or southern African pouched mouse is a species of rodent in the family Nesomyidae, which is viewed as actually representing a complex of at least three undescribed species. It is found in southern Africa in Angola, Botswana, DR Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Eswatini, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This species occurs in savanna woodland, as well as various other habitats, at elevations from 50 to 2000 m. It is present in arid regions of Namibia. The rodent is abundant and is tolerant of human disturbance of its habitat.
